Daily Average Per User

Hi All,

 

I just started using PowerBI a week ago. Prior to that I had been using Tableau for a couple of months so I am thinking the principles might be the same.

Question: I have a dataset that has dates, time, names of drug administers and I am trying to find average per name. I calculated the total use based on only two momths worth of data. I copied the total and used it to calculate average(Using the averagex function). When I select the name, the total use and average use are the same. I was expecting the avaerages to change but..... any ideas on how to better set this up???

    Anonymous what you are measuing? What is total?

      Hello Parry2k,

      So, I have names of people who administer medication on daily basis and sometimes more. I have the times, and I have the does they administered. I have calculated the number of dose completed by each name but I also want the average. I wish I could share the file with you

        Anonymous you can share the file by email (i have in my signature), remove any sensitive information before sharing, you can also share it using onedrive/google drive.

      Hi All,

       

      The reply I received could not help resolve the question because we could not meet via video conference which was the only option available, according to the individual who replied, in the interim I would welcome any help going forward.
