Cyclic Reference
I have two tables, P6 and CHIMES. Both have fields called SP Number. I wanted to create a column in both tables indicating if the SP Number in the table is in the other table. I created reference tables for both tables that only contain the SP Number fields and converted them to lists called CHIMES SPs and P6 SPs.
I first created the column in the P6 table called In CHIMES:
if Logical.ToText(List.ContainsAny(#"CHIMES SPs", {[SP Number]})) = "true" then "In CHIMES"
else "Not In CHIMES"
It worked fine. Then when I went to create the same column in the CHIMES table:
if Logical.ToText(List.ContainsAny(#"P6 SPs", {[SP Number]})) = "true" then "In P6"
else "Not In P6"
Then all of a sudden I get the cyclical reference error. I guess I don't understand how this is considered a cyclical reference. If anyone has any alternative solutions that would be so wonderful.

This can be done much simpler with List.Intersect.
