Crossfiltering between visualisations not working for some rows
Hello fergug,
If clicking on certain rows in vis1 doesn't cross-filter vis2 and the issue is resolved when removing the column added during the merge in Power Query, there might be an issue with the data in that column. Here are a few suggestions:
Check for any discrepancies or inconsistencies in the data within the column that was added during the merge. Look for any differences or unexpected values that might be causing the cross-filtering issue. Ensure that the data type and format of the column align with the shared variable 'referral id' in vis2.
Check if there are any null or blank values in the column added during the merge. These values might be causing the cross-filtering problem.
Verify that the data types of the shared variable 'referral id' in both vis1 and vis2 are the same. If the data types don't match, the cross-filtering may not work as expected.
Check if there are any column name clashes between the merged column and other columns in the dataset. If there are duplicate column names, it could lead to confusion and unexpected behavior.
Ensure that the relationships between the tables used in vis1 and vis2 are properly defined in the Power BI data model. Confirm that the relationship between the shared variable 'referral id' is correctly established between the two tables.
