Creating a custom column that pulls in data from a related Database table`
I am new with PowerBI but it looks like a great tool to run some reporting we need on an incident tracking system. I think what I am trying to do seems basic, so sorry for the basic question :) ...

You can bring in each table as-is into Power BI Desktop and create a relationship between them in Power BI (indeed, Power BI may even auto-detect the relationship).
Then you can hide the GUID so people don't see that in the field list and use Customer Name / Cient Name from their respective lookup tables in reports, etc.
