Connecting to Google Sheets - Anonymous credentials

Good morning community!

I have connected several times to Google Sheets using this method:

1) Change the sharing preferences, to "anyone in the Internet with the link".

2) Copy the link.

3) Change the end of the address, from:

edit?usp=sharing

to:

export?format=xlsx

It has been working perfectly, until yesterday.

Althoug the file sharing is configured the way I told, Power BI is returning me with this message:

Basically, (although it is in Portuguese), it is telling me that Web.BrowserContents is compatible only with anonymous credentials.

I have tried also Publishing the file to the web:

Which giver me a link like this:

google docs --> d / e / 2PACX-"another code"/ pubhtml

But it returns to me the same error.

Is there anything I can do?

Am I doing anything wrong?

Thank you!

Seems it is the problem only on your computer at work. Try clear the permission for this source and reconnect again.

  • Well, I asked a help from my friend... He used exactly the same link to connect to this data and it worked. After this, I tried to connect in my computer from work (I am currently working remotely, and I have access to the other computer at work), and it also worked....

What brings me to the situation where I believe it is the problem of the most recent version that I recently installed. Any clues?
