connect power bi to serverless sql pool

Is it possible to connect power bi to the (serverless sql pool in synapse)?
I click on get data in power bi, select Azure, and then the Azure synapse analytics SQL
then I enter the serverless sql pool end point and then DirectQuery with sql statement which does a select top 100 from a view in serverless sqlpool
when clicking on connect. it shows: we couldn't establish connection with credentials provided.
But using the same credentials, I can connect via azure data studio to the serverless sql pool.
Any thoughts?
