    The issue got resolved when I moved all the measures with conditional formatting into an existing marix visual that had few other measues (without any conditional formatting) defined. This looks like a bug because when the measures were placed inside a new matrix visual and any filter was selected the color coding just went away but this is not happening when the same measures have been placed into an existing matrix visual.
