complex visual using AI

You can create any custom visuals and use AI to help generate the code but it's quite a long and iterative process. You can definitely do it and once you make your first one then it'll be alot easier to make more. 

One thing to note is that when you make a visual, it doesn't mean that it'll be on the app store straight away - you need to publish it to the app store (how to link: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/developer/visuals/office-store ). If you want it to be certified then MS have a process for that aswell at this link: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/developer/visuals/power-bi-custom-visuals-certified.

If I was going to make a custom visual, I'd definitely use copilot or chatgpt and I'd tell it to initially look at the MS documentation links for building a custom connector. Would make sense to develop in VSCode and try to use Codex or Copilot in the pane, so that you can make the development quicker.
