Complex conditional formatting stopped working
- Anonymous1 year ago
Hi Kimber
Do you mean you had Power BI Desktop first, then downloaded Power BI Desktop (Report Server), and then your PBIX opened with Power BI Desktop (Report Server) by default? If so, you can try re-downloading Power BI Desktop from the Microsoft store.

I've narrowed it down. The problem is introduced when I reference 'Style Elements'[Positive Color] (or any of the other color fields). Here's the definition of [Positive Color]:
If I paste the hex value into the formatting field, it functions as expected. It's just the reference that makes it stop being able to be selected.

Hi Kimber
I need to confirm with you, is the visual you are using a card or a new card?
How was your visualization created? It looks like you are using two tables and some formulas. Are these formulas and the color definitions all measures? Or calculated columns? I cannot reproduce your scenario based on your description. Could you please share your PBIX?
