Column Quality options missing from PQ Editor View tab

I just downloaded PBI Desktop from the MS Store, and when I go into the PQ Editor, I don't see the Date Preview section in the View tab. This is what I'm used to seeing when I'm in the editor:

And this is what I'm seeing now:

Does anyone know why the Data Preview section would not be present in the PQ editor?

Thanks.

If I understand you correctly, what you're looking for is right here — just click the small arrow next to Data view on the View tab. That opens the dropdown with all the preview options (Column quality, Column distribution, Column profile, Monospaced, Show whitespace, etc.).

In the newer versions of Power Query Editor, Microsoft moved these settings out of the old Data Preview section on the ribbon and tucked them under Data view and Query settings. Same options, new home.

Try that and let us know if it does the trick.

  • Tutu_in_YYC, Elena_Kalina, thanks to both of you. I thought that I'd poked around the menu, but it apparent that I didn't poke around enough, and in fact missed the obvious.

That did work, and I can now use column quality again. Thanks to both of you!

  • You are in the new Power Query experience.

Column quality, profile and distribution are now under Data View. Click the drop down on Data View.
