Clear Drill Through Filter

I had a drill through at some point on a page but I removed it. Now all my visuals are stuck with the old drill through set to 2021. Even if I add the date field back in the drill through and drill through it just adds a new filter. Images below. How do I clear the drill through filter when its not a filter anymore?

 

If I change the column name you can see that there is a bug.

      amitchandak - Sorry I can't remove it from the box. That's the problem. There is no "x" like other filters since its a drill through. Even if I turn keep all filters off and then leave and drill back into the page the filter is still there. 

       

      In the image you can see that one says "Year: 2021" and another filter for "Year: 2022". The "Year: 2021" can't be removed. That's the whole problem.

    Based on the above, what do you want to do is remove the filter for year?

    Isn't there an X to click here? Could you move the mouse over the filter pane and provide a snapshot?


    Please try the following:
    1. Unlock locked filters and try again.
    2. Please try closing and reopening the PBIX file and try again.

     

    Additionally, a new version of the desktop has been released.

    Fixed an issue with drilling through, which may be related to your issue.

    PBI Desktop(version: 2.100.1182.0) was released with the below fixes:

    • Fix for the drop action: now no exception/error message will appear when dragging and dropping into a drill-through bucket.
    • AS engine start telemetry fix: Power BI application and the corresponding AS engine process should start successfully after locking/unlocking the screen, the fix will help to understand what goes wrong and come up with the correct AI.

    Please try the new version of the desktop.

    Hi,

    This thread is a bit dated, but since I fell into this "trap" today and failed to find an answer when searching for it, I thought I could share how it happened and how I solved it:

    I casually tested the tooltip drilling function (which I found out about today), which then had me fooled when I published a report having the drilling level accidentally set to the way the report is set by default.

    When checking the report in the service, the filter was "locked" to one filter value, thus making it impossible to change this very filter value in the filter pane.

    The solution in my case was to identify the visual in which I had performed the drill-through/drill-down, which was a tablix visual.

    I selected the visual, hovered over it and used the visual's Header Icons to drill-up to top level again.

    This way the "filter lock" was released.
