Hi all,

I have a need in one report and I don't know how to solve it. I need to show the results grouped according to some of the attributes of two different fact tables. The combination of these attributes (they all exists in both fact tables) determine the category.

I.e: Assuming the category is composed by "Type" and "Color" and that both attributes exist in Sales table and Invoices table:

CATEGORY          SALES        INVOICED

Blue cars               100                80

Red bikes               50                 60

If it were with only one table (sales or invoices) I could do it adding an extra column filled with DAX using if's or switch, but how could I solve this applying to both tables without repeating the category column in the report?

Thanks in advance.

  • new table = distinct(union(summarize(table,table[type],table[color]),summarize(table,table[type],table[color])))

New new table create a new column

    create a new column now = [Color] & " " [Type]
