Cannot establish encrypted connection from Power BI Desktop to SQL Server Database
Hello,
When I try to establish connection from power bi desktop to SQL server database, I am getting the following error:
"Encryption Support:
We were unable to connect to the data source using an encrypted connection. To access this data source using unencrypted connection, click OK."
I am using power bi desktop from January 2026. Does anybody know what should be done to encrypt the connection?
PS. I have no issue to set up encrypted connections with the same server using Qlik Sense.
innazz , Under Home ribbon -> Transform Data -> Data Source Setting, and then select the connection and edit the permission
