Can I format a visualisation to display matrix data like a table?
Not sure if the title is 100% acurate, but very new to PowerBI / Tables in general.
I have a data source that contains the below fields
User (Users full name)
Email (Users email address) They can have more than one
Environment (Power Platform Environment member) Power Apps Environment of which they are a member, they can have multiple
Security Role (Power Platform Security role for the environment) They can have multiple.
This is an example data set:
| User | Environment | Security Role | |
| Ben Clark | [email protected] | Default Environment | Environmet Maker |
| Ben Clark | [email protected] | Default Environment | Basic User |
| Ben Clark | [email protected] | Metropolis | Environment Maker |
| Dave Phill | [email protected] | Default Environment | Environmet Maker |
| Dave Phill | [email protected] | Default Environment | Basic User |
| Dave Phill | [email protected] | Gotham | Basic User |
| Grant Stone | [email protected] | Metropolis | Basic User |
| Steve Rocks | [email protected] | Gotham | System Administrator |
| Steve Rocks | [email protected] | Default Environment | Environmet Maker |
| Steve Rocks | [email protected] | Default Environment | Basic User |
| Steve Rocks | [email protected] | Gotham | Basic User |
| Steve Rocks | [email protected] | Riverdale | Basic User |
I want to format it so the username, email and environment names are not repeated for each user.
The ideal format I am after would display like this:
| User | Environment | Security Role | |
| Ben Clark | [email protected] | Default Environment | Environmet Maker |
| Basic User | |||
| Metropolis | Environment Maker | ||
| Dave Phill | [email protected] | Default Environment | Environmet Maker |
| Basic User | |||
| Gotham | Basic User | ||
| Grant Stone | [email protected] | Metropolis | Basic User |
| Steve Rocks | [email protected] | Gotham | System Administrator |
| Steve Rocks | [email protected] | Default Environment | Environmet Maker |
| Basic User | |||
| Gotham | Basic User | ||
| Riverdale | Basic User |
Does anyone know how I can achieve this?
Thank you
RD
Hi RandomDept
Use the matrix visual with all fields added as a row category well and set the layout to outline
Note: There isn't currently no option to turn on/off the weight of a row header category so all fields in the higher level hierarchy will be in bold.

Hello, danextian Your Answer is correct, but if you want to remove the boldness of the row subtotals you can use this option enable in the row subtotals that
-> try to remove boldness and also select apply to label option as well so you get this type of output;
-> I hope this will helps you and RandomDept also.
-> You can use this blog for the reference : Matrix Row Headers
-> If it helps you do not forget to give kudos. - RandomDeptNew Member
