Bug: Model View

Hello all,

in the Power BI Desktop model view the lines run chaotically. In some cases i dont see the direction or the arrow because it is under a table. Normally the lines dodge the tables.

Seems like a bug.

Best Regards

I spoke with someone from Microsoft a few hours ago and did a screen share.

I was told they are on it and it will be fixed in the next update circa 2 weeks.

In the meantime if you revert to the May version it should be resolved

  • Hello Pikachu-Power ,

so if you want to see the relation for some tables , you could add a new layout page and add the tables you want so you could see it without this choatic view.

Same behaviour. The lines go under the tables. It is not not the biggest problem but a negative change i wanted to note.

I experience the same problem as of today. Also when I open the .pbix file, at first it doesnt show any of the relationships at all. Only when I move a table/dataset, the relationships appear. Additionaly, I made a new table but I cannot move this table around in the model view. It's stuck in the top left corner. Never experienced these problems before today. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Glad I saw this. Hopefully it will be fixed in the next update??

There is no solution yet? Because it is actually quite annoying to make all relationships right now.

Same problem.. very annoying.... Has this been fixed yet...   I'm currently using the July 2023 version - Version: 2.119.986.0 64-bit (July 2023).

I'll take a look on mine for the Sep version. I assume if it's not working for me if it's not working for you. I can skip back to July, but there a few features I like to use, and Power BI automatically updates me sometimes (maybe that's my company policy)....

  • Hi all, anyone else still having the same issues. Nothing is fixed on my side in recent updates

  • To anyone who reads this or gets an update please vote for the idea to get lines back to how they should be - https://ideas.fabric.microsoft.com/ideas/idea/?ideaid=a1a901af-eab5-ee11-92bd-6045bd7d9d7c

My recent conversation with Microsfot shifted. They said the lines are like this "By Design" so they have no obligation to fix it. The only thing they recommended was to post an idea.

Be interested to see if data model lines still work properly (how they did before mid-2023) in the latest version for anyone else as it would prove it is not by design in it's current state.

    Thanks
