What is the use of assume referential integrity in power BI?

It improves performance if you use it. If you use it and you don’t have referential Integrity, then you may get incorrect results. If your db has referential integrity, then use it to get better performance. If you don’t know if you do or not, or if you don’t, then don’t use it to ensure you get the correct answer in preference to a faster incorrect answer.

It is used with direct query mode to improve performance. From memory. It switches from left outer joins to inner joins for the converted SQL code.
