Append query vs Append query as New
Can anyone explain the difference between append query vs append query as new?
PowerBI_Mallow I think I have explained it well enough. It depends on the scenario, you might want to keep the T1 and T2 as they are, to use them for some operations and have appended T3 for other operations....
I can't think of clear usecases where it would make you 100% right to use append vs append as new.

Hi,
Append Query appends Table 2 to Table 1. So you are left with T1 (which contains T1+T2) and T2.
Append Query as New creates a new Table 3 which contains T2+T1. So you are left with T1, T2 nad T3(containing T1+T3).
So the difference is, whether you want to create a new table or do the append to the current table.
