An unexpected error occurred (file 'pfoledbreader.cpp', line 836, function 'PFDBReaderOledb::Bind').

Hello,

When trying to add a column [table imported from sharepoint] I get this error: An unexpected error occurred (file 'pfoledbreader.cpp', line 836, function 'PFDBReaderOledb::Bind'). 

 

When I searched, the latest instance of this error on this forum claimed that with the November 2022 update of Power BI, this error was resolved. However I am still facing it now. 

 

Does anyone know how to resolve? TIA

    Anonymous May want to open a new Issue on the subject, it's possible that it got broken again. Are you trying to add the column in Power Query or DAX? If Power Query, you might try adding the column in DAX instead.

      Greg_Deckler Thanks for ur response. The data is from a table imported from sharepoint, I'm trying to add it as a column field in my table visual.

        Anonymous Ah, that's just downright weird. I'd log it as an issue and open a support ticket. And I would also confirm your version of the Desktop. File | Options and settings | Options | Diagnostics.
