In power bi desktop, you can import multiple data source and then merge/append the imported tables. In power bi service, you can pin visuals from different report/data source in the same dashboard.

It doesn't seem like your question was ever solved. If you have multiple datasources, you need the groupby clause to make aggregations work. Not sure the 'solution' solved this issue. Care to elaborate?
