Adding Images
Hello,
I would like some advice on how to proceed with adding images to my Power BI report. I have a table that has building information, such as name, address, square footage, year built. This information is extracted from an Access database to Excel and transformed using Power Query for Power BI. I would like to include an image of the building on the report page with all the building's attributes.
Is there a preferred method for doing this? I would want to be able to replace the photo and refresh the data and have the new photo displayed. For example, if the image is hosted on our file server and I name it a standard naming convention such as, <Building#>.jpg. When I get a new picture, I write over <Building#>.jpg with the new image, refresh and the new image is displayed.
Or if it is better to host the images online, just looking for some direction.
Thank you,
Carol
samye228 yes it is better to host images online with some naming convention and then create that URL in PQ and set the category type of that column to the image URL and it will show the picture. As the picture gets updated, it will use the new image using the URL. The Main components are to create a standard naming convention and add the image URL column in PQ.

Hi, samye228
Thanks for parry2k's reply. This Youtuber out gives a useful method to display the image properly when you have done everything to prepare it and publish it to the Service.
After modifying the image in Salapon, you need to clear your browser cache so that the image in Servis will display properlyBest Regards,
Yang
