adding columns after having unchecked them in transform data
Hi,
I am cleaning up the imported tables. For one table, i removed lot of columns by using "choose columns" and deselecting the ones i don't need. Then i did couple other steps (change names, change order of columns). And now i want some of these deselected columns back in to my table.
but that is just impossible other than removing me steps i did after wards....but those steps were a lot of work so i rather not delete these steps. I tried to amend to "choose column" step and re-select the ones i want in. But then the columns don't show in my table.

in Power Query it is possible to modify prior steps without delete the following steps.
You can go in the prior step and then you can delete the name of the columns that you want to restore.

Thanks for your reply Amit, i may have been too unclear. But i also might have find the solution myself. I went back in applied steps, re-added the column i deleted in that step, and also re-added it in steps after it to get it in my final table. That did the trick so far.

bvdm1980 , Not very clear, You can select the columns you want to keep and use remove other columns
