Access Change for Sharing Reports?
I have a variety of reports that I publish to "My Workspace" and grant access to necessary individuals. It seems the access process has changed recently and the documentation doesn't seem to be updated.
1. Create a report in PBIX and publish to "My Workspace"
2. Access PowerBI.com and go to "My Workspace"
3. Find the report I am trying to share, click the ellipsis (...) and choose Manage Permissions
4. Select "Direct Access" and select "Add User"
5. Enter user details and "Grant Access"
6. Confirm the users are listed
When the user follows the link, they are able to open the report but are not able to get data in any of the visuals. They receive the error "Something went wrong, unable to load the model". I have followed the above steps to publish to a shared Workspace also and I get the same result. I have tried to change the sensitivity from "General" to "Confidential - Any User" and this did not resolve the issue.
What do I need to do to share access with specific individuals to reports on my workspace?
Anonymous When you share your report/dashboard from personal workspace to other users, in that case person who is going to access the dashboard need to have powerbi licence as well.
pl. refer to below links as well.
