Pipeline: Semantic model refresh Activity not working
Hi,
its there currently an issue creating new pipelines that are using the semenatic model refresh activity?
My existing pipelines that are using this activity are still working, however I can't create new ones.
Under 'Settings' the tables in the model are not being loaded - the dropdown keeps showing 'Loading'.
The Connection I am using is activ and working!
HI chris__1,
It might be a good idea to submit a support ticket to Microsoft regarding the issue with the "Semantic Model Refresh" activity. Since existing pipelines are still working but new ones are failing to load the tables, and you've already ensured the connection is active, the issue could be related to a backend service or configuration problem.
A support ticket would help escalate the issue directly to Microsoft’s technical support team, who can investigate deeper and provide a resolution. You can describe the issue in the ticket and mention the troubleshooting steps you’ve already taken, such as confirming the connection and clearing browser cache.

I'm encountering the same issue. Even when I select 'All Tables' and attempt to run the pipeline, I receive the following error:
Failure: User Configuration Issue
Details: Request processing failed at the endpoint. See output for the response received from the endpoint.- chris__1Advocate II
yes, i now get the same error.
and for pipelines using this activity that where working before now they don't refresh the semantic model anymore. the refresh history still says that the semantic model was refreshed - yet this isn't the case!

Same issue here, premium workspaces, tried multiple datasets, made sure tables load before selecting them, almost everytime I get the user config issue, but managed to make it work once or twice by just deleting and creating new connections. Next day it failed again on exact same setting. This is very critical for us.

I'm having the same issue. Did anyone find a fix to this? I didn't see it in the known issues logs.

Can you confirm whether the report is not being hosted in the Pro workspace?
Also can you try in an incognito mode as well as sometime due to cache we see those issues

Hi,
all workspaces are Fabric. I've tried selecting a semantic model from the same and from different workspaces. I've tried Edge and Chrome and in Private mode. Also tried using an other users account (also Fabric Admin). Like I said: I current have pipelines that make use of this activity and those still work. I also deleted and recreated the connection. I guess if there isn't a know issue at the moment and nobody can replicate this I will need support...

I know this activity is still in preview, but its not working for at all and I see replies in this thread from others having the same issue.
On the other hand I see other threads in this forum where this activity seems to be working.
Is there something I am missing to make this work? Is Microsoft aware that this is just working for some users only?
