Install Self hosted Integration Runtime for Microsoft Fabric
- Anonymous1 year ago
Hi jerryum1
The ability to install a self-hosted integration runtime (SHIR) for Microsoft Fabric without using Azure Data Factory is not currently available. Currently, most of the available documentation and guidance focuses on using SHIR with Azure Data Factory or Azure Synapse.
You may need to continue to use Azure Data Factory to set up and manage your SHIR.
You can also consider using a gateway.
Note that while both are used to transfer data between on-premises and the cloud, SHIR is more focused on data integration and large-scale data processing, while on-premises gateways are better suited for real-time data access and integration of business applications.
