Cannot Connect to On-prem SQL Server from Data Pipeline
Hi all,
I have a problem with conenction to SQL from datapipeline in Fabric.
I don't see my data gateway, and it doesn't let me to connect SQL with any other connection.
I see only basic authentication kind. When I want to edit existing conenction, I can choose authentication kind as organizational, but again it doesn't let me to connect.
I have read in community that is not possible to connect to SQL from Fabric pipelines but I'm not sure.
Is there anyone who faced with this issue?
Thanks.

Hi BeyzaKzlky
Thanks for using Fabric Community.
How are you trying to connect to SQL server using pipeline? Are you using Copy data activity? Are you trying to connect to an on-premises SQL Server or an Azure SQL database?
Can you share more details about the community discussion you referenced? If you are getting any error while connecting the SQL server please provide the error details, so that I can help you better.
Thanks.- BeyzaKzlkyFrequent Visitor
Hi Anonymous
Like I have mentioned above, I'm trying to connect on-prem SQL server.
I cannot see gateway to trying to get data with copy data activity.
And again like I have mentioned above, I can only see authentication kind basic.
Error says that you can not reach your server, yes that's right, because I don't want to open my server, I want to use data gateway like I did in Power BI previously.
After this error, I'm trying to edit connection, at that part I can see the authentication options, I choose organizational, but after a while it says we couldn't update.
I have made some research and saw that data gateway is not available for Fabric pipeline. I thinks there is no any other solution to wait for a development about this part.
