Fabric Data
Hi User,
Thanks for sharing this overview.
Just to avoid any confusion for readers, it's worth noting that Microsoft Service Fabric and Microsoft Fabric are two different products.
Microsoft Service Fabric is a platform for building and managing distributed, microservices-based applications.
Microsoft Fabric is a unified analytics platform that brings together Data Engineering, Data Factory, Data Science, Data Warehouse, Real-Time Intelligence, and Power BI.
Regarding SQL integration in Microsoft Fabric:
Fabric Data Warehouse provides a fully managed SQL analytics experience for large-scale analytical workloads.
Lakehouse supports Delta tables that can be queried using Spark and the SQL analytics endpoint.
OneLake serves as the unified storage layer across Fabric workloads.
Microsoft Fabric can also connect to external SQL sources such as Azure SQL Database, SQL Server, and Azure SQL Managed Instance for data ingestion and analytics.
