SharePoint data source - authentication method service principal

Hello,   I see that the authentication method 'service principal' can be used to authenticate to SharePoint Online but it does not seem to work for me to authenticate. My data source is just a List...

I have discussed this issue with Microsoft Power BI support and it is a bug that should be looked at from their side.

    Do you have more details regarding this bug ?

    Will Microsoft Power BI team fix the Service principal authentication method for a SharePoint connection ? If yes, do we have an idea when ?
