Reports on Streaming\Hybrid Dataset not working

When I push data to a hybrid (historical) dataset I keep getting a unknown url failure.  But when I switch to non historical (streaming) then the data flows on through. 

But either way, I am not able to create a report using that dataset.  The last refresh time shows that I am refreshing the dataset and the api returns sucessful message push on the client pushing the data.  

What is happening?
