remove custom visuals from desktop
Just out of curiosity, I attempted to remove the visuals via the file extension trick. With this, you change the report file extension from .pbix to .zip). Extract the zip file to a folder. Browse to the Report --> Custom Visuals directory and remove the custom visualization that you don't need. Zip the file back up and then rename the extension from .zip to .pbix.
This works to remove the visualization from the options but still gives the custom visualization prompt to enable them.
According to this: https://support.powerbi.com/knowledgebase/articles/759888-add-a-custom-visualization-to-a-power-bi-report once you add a custom visual you cannot remove it from a report :( I guess that means we are stuck with the warning unless we rebuild the report?
