PowerBI via REST API not rendering

I've followed the instructions using the sample application to embed a PowerBI report into a web page. When trying to view the target report from the Embed Report button on the sample app there appears a place marker image of a report that blinks but never renders the actual report. No error messages, the image just keeps blinking. Any help would be appreciated.
