Super User1. assuming your data lives in database tables (and not in a cube) you will want to go for Direct Query connection
2. Your data model will define what individual users can see. 4. You can implement RLS against distribution lists/groups. That way adding a user to a group will give them the RLS permissions assigned to that group. (You can still decide if you want to do the group assignment at the data source, and use group level RLS, or if you want to let it flow into Power BI and do it via the data model.)
3. Are you expecting any sort of interaction between the web app and the embedded report?
