Is it possible to embed powerbi tool into another web application
- 4 years ago
Hi Anonymous ,
There are three ways to do that.
1 publish to public web. This will create a link that allows everyone to request it without login or Power BI account.
2 Embed a report in a secure portal or website. To view the embedded report, users need either a Power BI Pro or Premium Per User (PPU) license or the content needs to be in a workspace that's in a Power BI Premium capacity (EM or P SKU).
3 Power BI embedded analytics. Power BI embedded analytics offers two solutions: for coustomers and for organization.
- The embed for your customers solution allows you to build an app that uses non-interactive authentication against Power BI. Your customers are likely to be external users, and they don't need to sign in using Power BI credentials to view the embedded content.
- The embed for your organization solution allows you to build an app that requires signing in using Power BI credentials.
For the third method, all users share one REPORT, and users can make changes to this REPORT, but cannot create a new standalone report for themselves.
For the other methods, users can filter on the report, but cannot modify the chart of the REPORT.
