I am trying to build custom visual using bing maps. I have read in some posts that there are not any good source code examples available. Curious to know how they handle the scenario for getting bin...
The Mapbox custom visual could act an example that you could extend to Bing. There's an option for access token under Format and a validation check for the token in the main visual file:

I create own custom visual for bing maps. How you resolved the problem with the callback in code?
I add script https://www.bing.com/api/maps/mapcontrol?callback=my function. When I want to add function, power bi doesn't see global function in code.
