    Hi jaryszek

Thank you for contacting the Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.

Yes, converting a CSV file to Parquet format can greatly reduce the size of your dataset, especially for large, structured data. Parquet is a columnar storage format that enables efficient compression and encoding, often resulting in a size reduction of 30% to 90%, depending on data characteristics. While smaller or highly unique datasets may see less benefit, most real-world tabular data with repeated values will experience significant reductions.

Parquet files are fully supported in Power Query for platforms including Power BI Desktop, Excel (via Power Query), and Power BI Dataflows. You can import Parquet files by selecting Home > Get Data > Parquet. This allows for efficient data transformation and integration within Power BI and other Microsoft Fabric tools.

I hope this information is useful. If you need more assistance, please provide additional details.
