Helper IVConsolidation of Data from existing reports
I've created about 20 Power BI reports for 20 different customers.
Because the data provided by the 20 customers is different, or provided in different formats, each is it's own report with it's own semantic model. Each one of these reports does carry some common datasets.
I now need to consolidate all 20 into one report so that I can pull all the data into a Matrix by Customer and Product are in rows and Month & Year as well as Quarter & Year are in columns, like the individual reports.
I started by importing the semantic models one at a time into a new Power BI report. These imported fine, but it also brought in the Common data for each report as well, Like the Date table, and the Product table. I don't need these in there multiple times, just once and I can pull these in separately. I just need the base data, the customers' data, and it won't let me delete the Common tables.

Here are steps to pick only specific tables from each model:
- Open your consolidated report in Power BI desktop, this is the report you have connected to the 20 other semantic models.
- Look at the bottom right corner of the report, you should see something that says “Connected live to the Power BI semantic model: {model name} Make changes to this model” – click the words Make changes to this model
- A window will pop up that says “A DirectQuery connection is required” – click the button “Add a local model”
- The next window will pop up and allow you to pick and choose which tables you want

I checked my email and this is the first notification I received concerning my question.
I know that the Power BI/Fabric Service was revamped recently, so I wonder if all communications were getting sorted out.
Anyway, the information above appears sound and I will give it a go in the next day or two.
