Best data source for power bi fast reports

Hi edwin_jerome,

 

When using Direct Query mode, no data is imported or copied into Power BI Desktop. Power BI Desktop queries the underlying data source whenever you create or interact with a visualization, and the time necessary to refresh the visualization is dependent on the performance of the underlying data source.

 

How many data do you have in your Impala? If it is not too big, could try using Import mode to see if it helps? :smileyhappy:

Thanks for the reply.

 

I have 1 million records in my data source. I already tried import option and I can see better performance. But I want to try them in Direct query mode. Because in real time we can't import huge datasets into Power BI. Is there any other tool that can give faster access?
