App vs User Owns Data
So I know the biggest difference between the two is that with User Owns Data (UOD) the user needs to log-in to their Power BI account and then they can only see the reports that they made or the ones...

The main difference is
- User Owns Data sample is for Embedding for your organization, the embedded reports readers can be Power BI Pro or free users in your orginaztion. Users have to log-in with their PBI account. Power BI Premium licese is required.
- App Owns Data sample is for Embedding for your customers, the embedded report readers can be your own customers(say you're an ISV application provider). So no log-in. Power BI Embedded license is required.

Power BI Premium is a required for UOD? You can make use of the shared capacity, right?
I too would also like to know this for UserOwnsData side. I understand the licensing and usage of AppOwnsData well, just not used UOD.
- With User owns data you do NOT need a premium capacity you can embed assets that have been shared to users from shared capacities
