Alert Report Owner When Requesting Access

Hi,

When a user requests access to a dahboard, the pending request is successfully displayed under the "Access" tab for the Dashboard. This is useful but doesn't alert the report owner when someone is requesting access. Is there a way that the report owner can be alerted when a user requests access to a report?

Thanks

    Hi burnie21,

I edit my original reply. Are you able to get email which indicates that someone is requesting access for dashboard?

    Thanks,
    Lydia Zhang

      Hi Lydia,

Unfortunately we don't get the email. One additional detail that might be helpful is the dashboard is located in the workspace, and when I view the "access" tab, the owner of the dashboard is listed as the name of the name of the workspace. In scenarios where the dashboard is located in a group workspace, do access requests get processed differently?

      Thanks for your help

        Hi burnie21

When user requests access to a dashboard which is located in a Group Workspace, I can reproduce your issue. And in this sceanrio, wo can only to check the request in Access tab of dashboard.

        Thanks,

    Hi burnie21,

I test the scenario as yours. Based on my test, when someone submits a request for dashboard, I receive an email as shown in the following screenshot which alerts me that the user is requesting access.

You are able to grant access to the user directly from the email entry or the entry under Access tab shown in the following screenshot.

    Thanks,
