Use Text Column to IF Statement

Hi, Im new to Power bi and tring to write a DAX function with IF condition.

Ex.  

ProductAmount
A1500
B2000
C3000

 

My formula to calculate value IF('ProductList'[Product] = "A",1500 , IF( 'ProductList'[Product] = "B",2000 , IF( 'ProductList'[Product] = "C",3000, 0)))

 

It showing me an error in 'ProductList'[Product]. Because It does not allow me to reffer text column.

Can anybody to help me to solve this issue.

SWITCH (
    SELECTEDVALUE ( 'ProductList'[Product] ),
    "A", 1500,
    "B", 2000,
    "C", 3000,
    0
)

    It should not give an error if you are creating a calculated column. Unless you creating a measure?

      Actually I want to create a mesure. Because I have Month filter in my report. When I change Month the Value should be change.
