    Would a measure like this help?

    Next Visit Type = 
VAR _NextDate =
    CALCULATE(
        MIN( 'Table'[Visit Date] ),
        'Table'[Visit Date] > TODAY()
    )
VAR _NextType =
    CALCULATE(
        MAX( 'Table'[Visit Type] ),
        'Table'[Visit Date] = _NextDate
    )
RETURN
	_NextType
