Need matrix (& graph) of % by total w/ qualitative data
Hello All,
Here are 3 matrices that I am trying to achieve with DAX. I do not want to rely on choosing "show value as percent of column total" on the Visualizations pane, as I need DAX instead:
Matrix 1:
Matrix 2:
Matrix 3: I also would like a 3rd showing gender AND ethnicity but it was getting too complicated to develop an example.
Here is a chunk of my data. Please note this is only a small portion of the entire dataset, though the numbers in the example tables above do only reflect this chunk of data. I have many slicers on my dashboard. Thanks in advance!!

If you have Gender and Ethnicity as separate dimensions you can create a measure like
% = DIVIDE(
[N],
CALCULATE(
[N],
REMOVEFILTERS('Gender'),
REMOVEFILTERS('Ethnicity')
),
0
)
See attached PBIX for working example.

Hi ashleymf1983 based on the sample you have provided, I created a dummy set of data and used visual calculations. Please find the PBI file attached.
Hope this helps to solve your problem. If it does, then please mark it as solution.
