How can i assign a value from selectedvalue(column) function into custom column

Hi Team,

 

I have created a measure to get the value of month from the selcted filter by using SELECTEDVALUE(table column) function, however i need same value to be assigned to a custom column for each row in a table. 

Please suggest me how to get the value into custom column by using SELECTEDVALUE function.

      Hi FreemanZ ,

       

      I mean i have crated

      first mesure with following code in one table  as below and it displays slected value from filter for each row.

      SelectedMonth_M = SELECTEDVALUE('Table Calender'[Month])
      Created a new column in same table as below but it does not display any value for each row.
      SelectedMonth = SELECTEDVALUE('Table Calender'[Month]).
       
      Please see below screenshot.
