Future Quarters Display

Hi all,

 

I'm sure this is quite straightforward but I'm really struggling to figure it out. I have a report page which is showing the current quarter and next 4 quarters worth of data and I want to have cards showing the actual quarters being referenced dynamically. eg. today the cards would display:

 

  • 2023 Q2
  • 2023 Q3
  • 2023 Q4
  • 2024 Q1
  • 2024 Q2

But as soon as we enter July, I would like them all to move ahead a quarter. Can anyone guide me in the right direction as to how to make this display please? I do have a full Date table set up.

    Hi!
    Do you want to be able to reference the date, or is just the text string "YYYY QQ" fine? If text only is okay you could create something like this:

    Quarter + 0 := 
VAR VarDate = today()
return
format(VarDate,"yyyy")&" Q"&format(VarDate,"q")

Quarter + 1 := 
VAR VarDate = edate(TODAY(),3)
return
FORMAT(VarDate,"yyyy")&" Q"&FORMAT(VarDate,"q")


//and so on...

     

    To get measures that update dynamically.
