Filter not working after publishing to workspace

Good day

I am currently facing an issue where the filter does not work when published on workspace. For example , I tried refreshing a certain page on a desktop version and the data reflects correctly, whereby the user is able to toggle between different dates. But as soon as you publish this onto the workspace the filter  is diabled.  This filter has always been working right up until yesterday.

Kindly assist

  • Janaki70Can you add a new Date Slicer to the reports/Dashboard and re-publish to the web service? If this works, you can apply the same step to all reports if your Dashboards are based on pin visuals from different reports.

    Or let's try the following:

1 - Is the Power BI Desktop version used to create the reports compatible with the Power BI Service version? An outdated desktop version might lead to compatibility issues when published.

2 - You can review the refresh schedules settings because issues can arise if the data refresh schedules are not configured correctly. Or If the refresh is disabled when a 4-time failed attempt occurred.

3 - Clear the cache on the Power BI Service. Sometimes, this can resolve issues with filters not working as expected.

4 - Another possible cause is custom visuals. Verify that the filter is not affected by any custom visuals or extensions.

5 - If none of these steps work, it's possible that you might want to re-publish all your reports/Dashboard in a new workspace or create a workspace App to avoid sharing multiple links to users for accessing the Dashboards

      Good day

Thank you , the renaming of the dashboard worked.  This issue has affected multiple dashoards, any suggestions besides renaming them? We have more than 50 dashboards which are affected since they souce the same dataset.

      Kindly advise.

      hi DallasBaba

Thank you for the above points to try. The problem was resolved by changing the date into text format and representing it on the filter. No issues after that .

Thank you for the quick response and assistance.
