Duplicates in both columns

Hi. I have two columns that contain duplicates in both columns. I would like the right column to show several distinct values (because there are several weathers in the right column). The left column should calculate how many values there are in the left column. Huw do I do this i DAX?

  • Hi,

    You can achieve this using the summarization option in table visual (if this is your end goal):

    End result:

    However if you want to do this with DAX you can use SUMMARIZE:

    DistinctExampleDAX = SUMMARIZE(DistinctExample,DistinctExample[Column1],"Distinct",DISTINCTCOUNT(DistinctExample[Column2]))

    I hope this post helps to solve your issue and if it does consider accepting it as a solution and giving the post a thumbs up!
