Dax Target Measure

Hi

I've got 3 years worth of data visaulised in a line chart for expenditure. Im wanting to create a measure for a target that shows what 3.2% of the total amount would be per month. It's based on payroll so there's multiple different categories of payroll but just want 3.2% of the total to show each month, this would then be dynamic with whatever department the the user chooses in the slicer.

exmaple of 1 month data is :

TeamCategoryTotal
AX250000
AY125000
AZ325000
BX175000
BY225000
BZ110000
CX115000
CY225000
CZ310000

Hi lbendlin ,thanks for the quick reply, I'll add more.

    Hi Kauto2007 ,

If I understand you wrong, please correct me and show the expected result in pictures.

The Table data is shown below:

Use the following DAX expression to create a measure

    Measure = SUM('Table'[Total]) * 0.032

    Final output

  • Hi Kauto2007
    1. Import the data into PowerBi Desktop
    2. Create Measure for Total
    # Total = SUM('Table'[Total])
    3. Calculate the 3.2% of the Total
    3.2 % Of Total = [# Total]* 0.032
    4. Add the level Slicer based on the Requirement
