Dax SUM Issue - Column

Hi I am working in DAX Studio and have a column in my model that consist of 

 

Failure to deliver cash Settlement fails value = SWITCH( TRUE(), [TYA-QRY] = 0 && [Date] = {EFF_PLI_DV} && [FTY_RSN_ID] = "CASH", 0, 

[STH_SPL_CD] = "FAND"" && [Date] = [SFL_HUS_DATE] && [FTY_RSN_ID] = "CASH" ,0,  [FTY_RSN_ID] <> "CASH" ,0, [FAD_EUR]

 

works perfect in power bi 

 

However I need to sum this in DAX and having issues 

 

Tried 

Failure to deliver cash Settlement fails value = SUM([Failure to deliver cash Settlement fails value]) but still not summing any ideas please

    Hi al1ceDav1n ,

    Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

    • Check that the column is being recognized as a numeric data type. If it's not, you won't be able to sum it.
    • Check that the column is not being filtered out by any filters in the query. If the column is being filtered out, it won't be included in the sum.
    • Try using the SUMX function instead of SUM. SUMX allows you to sum a column that is the result of a calculation.   

     

    Failure to deliver cash Settlement fails value =
SUMX ( TableName, [Failure to deliver cash Settlement fails value] )

    Hi al1ceDav1n function SWITCH return single value. You need to rework your measure / output to sum it.
