Connecting a slicer to multiple parameters
Hi,
My current dashboard looks like this. I have 2 field parameters with different field values, but same text. They are connected to their respective visuals.
I want to replace the parameters, with a slicer, with 'BA', 'Division' values etc. And if I select 'BA' in the slicer, it should select the 'BA' parameter value in the 2 parameters. Can someone help how I can achieve this? Thanks.

I'm happy to answer your questions. We can use Sync slicer to select two slicers with the same parameters at the same time.
The following is a slicer with two parameters:
We click view>>Sync Slicer:
When we select income, another parameter slicer will also be selected at the same time:

Create a Slicer: First, create a slicer with the values 'BA', 'Division', etc.
Modify Parameters: You need to modify your existing parameters to be driven by the slicer selection.
Edit Queries (Optional): If necessary, you might need to adjust your data model or queries to accommodate the changes.
Here's a step-by-step guide:
1. Create a Slicer
- Go to your Power BI report.
- Click on the slicer visualization icon in the Visualizations pane.
- Add the fields 'BA', 'Division', etc. to the slicer.
2. Modify Parameters
- Go to "Modeling" tab.
- Select "New Parameter" from the ribbon.
- Create a new parameter for 'BA' and another for 'Division' if they don't already exist.
- Make sure the parameter names match the field names exactly.
3. Connect Slicer to Parameters
- Click on the slicer visualization.
- In the "Visualizations" pane, find the "Slicer" section.
- Under "Fields", drag the fields (e.g., 'BA', 'Division') from your dataset onto the "Slicer" section.

- For each visual that uses the parameters, ensure they are linked to the parameters.
- Click on the visual.
