Financial Statements

Financial Statements according to Vietnam's Circular No. 200/2014/TT-BTC

Real Situation: Many Small and Medium companies in Vietnam don’t invest too much in software or technology. Accounting software that is merely for accounting, tracking, and periodic reporting is still done manually.

Frequently encounter the following cases:

  • Balance sheet: Classifying balance sheet items incorrectly. For example, Bank deposits are all considered short-term hold-to-maturity investments that are not classified into cash equivalents, short-term held-to-maturity investments, or long-term held-to-maturity investments; Non-current assets are considered current assets.
  • Cash Flow: Accounting software implements direct cash flow but it returns incorrect results. Many companies will often ignore this issue and base the indirect cash flow method on the audit report.

=> The finance and accounting staff will manually adjust for reporting periodically.

Data: Create sample data similar to the real situation so the reported data will fluctuate quite a bit.

This Project includes the following key points:

  • Reclassify and modify incorrect categories according to Vietnam's Circular No. 200/2014/TT-BTC
  • Including Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Income Statement, and Financial Ratios
  • Two Languages: English and Vietnam
  • Connect General Journals to SQL Server and Create “Code_CF”, and “Code_PL” with T-SQL Server.
  • Apply Tabular Editor for format.
