F1 DATA PLATFORM
As an F1 fan, I’ve spent the last few months building an end-to-end data pipeline using Microsoft Fabric, scraping F1.com
to collect all available race data (pit stops, qualifying sessions, fastest laps, races, sprint races, and more.) since its beginings in 1950.
This allowed me to create a Power BI report inspired by the official F1 experience.
What you’re seeing here is just tip of the iceberg. This is the first report of many, for now it focuses on race results, but there’s a lot more data waiting to be explored.
With the 2026 F1 season approaching, this pipeline is designed to run fully automated every race weekend, extracting and updating the latest data on its own.
Some next ideas already on the roadmap:
- Driver vs Driver: head-to-head analysis across qualifying, races, wins, championships, and trends.
- Team vs Team: historical and seasonal performance comparisons.
- Hall of Legends: drivers with the most championships and sustained dominance.
- Race Weekend Overview: a single view per Grand Prix showing each driver’s results across practice sessions, qualifying, race, and fastest lap.
And more ideas focused on history, performance, and context, not just raw results.
I’m open to suggestions, if you have ideas on what you’d like to analyze, feel free to drop them in the comments.
